Prior to founding the firm, Mr. Henry worked as a senior attorney in Kansas City, Kansas for a state-wide non-profit, public interest law firm dedicated to assisting low income Kansans with essential legal services in the area of family law, bankruptcy law, and social security disability law. Mr. Henry’s extensive case load required his representation of clients before the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Kansas, the Social Security Administration, and in various Kansas state district courts, including those courts located in the counties of Johnson, Wyandotte, Leavenworth, Franklin, Miami, and Linn. Mr. Henry supervised the legal work of pro bono attorneys, and took special delight in mentoring the work of law school students serving in an internship/externship capacity. Mr. Henry’s experience also includes work with a trial and appellate law firm in Topeka, Kansas, concentrating in civil rights, contract law, insurance defense, and personal injury. Mr. Henry is a graduate of Washburn University School of Law, Topeka, Kansas, where he served as a teaching assistant for Legal Analysis, Research, and Writing I and II classes and was a student editor to the Family Law Quarterly. He is listed in Who’s Who Among American Law Students and was a student member of The Honorable Sam A. Crow American Inn of Court. During law school, Mr. Henry distinguished himself as the first place winner of a Washburn Law School Negotiation Competition, was a member of the law school’s Honor Code Committee, and actively participated as an officer in the law school’s Student Bar Association. Mr. Henry’s earlier education includes a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Kansas, in which he is listed in The National Dean’s List, 1999-2000, an award limited to ½ of 1% of the nation’s top college students.
